Care for gardens. And gardeners.

As we get older, the sanctuary of the home and the garden we have nurtured for years is invaluable. It’s a place of love, memories and comfort. Sometimes that garden requires more care than we’re able to give it.

You never stop being a gardener.

Companion Gardening pairs an older gardener with someone keen and able who takes on the physically demanding work; the digging, the lifting, the ladder, the heavy pruning.

It isn't a labouring service. The gardener whose garden it is stays in charge; they decide what happens and where. The companion brings the muscle and the hands, and takes away decades of knowledge in return. It’s someone to help with the more physically challenging aspects, and someone to share stories and wisdom with who is keen to hear your gardening wisdom.

It suits both people. One keeps their garden looking like they always imagined. The other learns things that can't be got from a book.

If you, or someone you care about is interested in the support of a companion gardener, we’d love to help.
